about

About the Gala

Please join WRMSDC as we celebrate 40 incredible years of working to equalize the treatment of minority business owners and diverse communities in Northern California, Nevada, and Hawai‘i. In tribute to 1977, our founding year, we invite you to travel back in time with us to an age of exploration and groovy getups, of Star Wars, Dancing Queens, space discovery, and Stairways to Heaven. Our 40th Anniversary Gala will be more than just an awards ceremony: at the end of the night, you’ll walk away inspired. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable…Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.” For forty years, you—and people like you—have changed lives. On May 12, we celebrate you.
